Fly Fishing Update: Summer is back on schedule! Spring has provided us with some much needed snow, bringing all relevant snowpack above 100% of the historical average. What does this mean? Cold, clean water will be hitting the system in June, July and August! Trico & Hopper hatches will all be within reach. Dry fly fishing continues to impress. Blue Wing Olives, March Browns, Caddis, and the errant terrestrial are still all on the menu. PMDs have even been sighted as of yesterday! Spinners, Smokejumpers, and prospecting with large Purple Hazes have all been paying off. Nymph fishing (with a perdigon) is still the ticket! Run a #16-18 dropper nymph off a high floating dry, 24-26" down, and get ready to catch fish across the entire river. Streamer fishing continues to produce as the conditions allow (focus on more overcast days). Drop us a line and we hope to see you soon!
