Dry Fly Action Heating Up for Opening Week!

After some much needed snow to start the month, the weather and fish are starting to find their Spring form with hatches being found up and down the river. February 5, 2026 While anglers take advantage of a year round fishery on the Missouri, there's a special allure to May that keeps even the most experienced fly fisherman coming back. As a tailwater, the Missouri River is insulated from large runoff events. The spring fishing on the Mo is some of the best in all of Montana, with trout heavily feeding as water temps come up.
