May is heating up on the Ranch with homemade hot sauce and hotter hatches!
May 7, 2026 May welcomed itself to Montana with groups of incredible guests and the first elk of the season on property. Long time friends of MRR made their yearly appearances to keep the trout on their toes, and first time guests left us feeling like we added to the Missouri River Ranch family. Ospreys are back to the Ranch and so is the Spring Weather!
April 30, 2026 The ospreys are back on property and so is a stretch of consistent Spring weather. With stabilizing daytime temperatures in the low 70's and nighttime temps staying above freezing, this will help bring more consistency to the river in the coming week. Flows remain in the 3000-3500CFS range with water temperatures bumping up to the upper 40's. This trend will be as welcoming to the aquatic life as our anglers. Beautiful Weather and Long Nights by the Fire!
April 23, 2026 Our first group of guests arrived on the Ranch to warm weather and clouds of mayflies. With the temperatures touching 80 degrees, the Spring BWO hatch is in full swing and keeping the fish as happy as the guests. Lower flow levels are holding around 3200CFS, and water temps getting into the high 40's with cold front looking to roll in later this week.
