The Missouri River may just be Montana's most famous fly fishing river in the month of July. Because of stable flows, consistent hatches and ideal weather, anglers from all over the world flock to Craig. Without a doubt, July fly fishing in Craig, MT is the best summer trout fishing in the country. Pods of fish roam the river rising to Caddis, PMDs, Tricos, Ants & Hoppers. Whether choosing to headhunt picky fish with a mayfly cripple, or prospecting the banks with a terrestrial, there are endless opportunities to hook into aggressively feeding Missouri River trout!
July is also one of our favorite months at the Missouri River Ranch to enjoy all the property has to offer. Whether it's hiking our private loop trail or around Holter Lake, wade fishing the banks of the ranch, or enjoying a riverside happy hour, there's something for everyone. BBQs and live fire cooking on the great lawn are not to be missed!
