Dry Fly Action that Doesn't Quit!

September 13, 2023

Fly Fishing Update:

With moderate weather and mostly sunny days, our dry fly bite has continued to fish well. Anglers are reporting great days on the river with limited crowds. Flows bumped slightly to 4,940 CFS and the water temps are sitting at 62.5°F.

This week produced caddis, trico, hopper and ant eats! With the highest summer temperatures in our rear view, this week has produced ideal conditions for dry fly fishing. Longtime guests and anglers of the ranch have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of fish and dry fly action this week.

Nymphing with hopper/droppers continues to impress! If deep nymphing doesn't appeal to you, feel free to fish a dropper about 18-24" under your hopper and get ready for the action!

Streamer fishing continues to build towards its October peak. As the water temperature continues to fall, keep an eye on it dropping into the upper-50's. That's the magic range where breaking out your streamer rod can produce fantastic results.

Drop us a line and we hope to see you soon!
